I approach the start of the year in the midst of many projects for clients and for myself. Finished the old one with some christmas presents for my young grandnieces- the almost 3 yr. old perhaps the finicky-est of all my clients seemed to be happy.
Eliza - 8 mo old got a 2-pc corduroy outfit that exactly matches the one her 6-mo old cousin also received from aunt Za - pic to come. . .
I was a bit worried about the siizng, but looks like it worked out OK
In December I finished a pair of cotton flannel PJ’s in holiday- appropriate colors with Indian inspired wax print trim
I had another project with client -provided fabric that was given to her in Indonesia. She is an honorary princess of 2 Indonesian islands. This was a stiff silk woven with metallic threads and very difficult to cut up and incorporate into an outfit.

back of vest was pieced together with different sections of the fabric to achieve a continuity of design

Christmas day at Bergdorfs windows- cold enough to bring out 30 yr old “Foxy” (30 years in my possesion-) made by Edwards-Lowell in Beverly Hills and acquired by me at 2nd hand store-
Art, Dinner parties, old friends and roads traveled - The Sienna show at the Met was inspiring and uplifting- couldn’t resist the little bees- view outside my studio- London Terrace Gardens- Rita Ackerman painting Lisa Hoke works on wall
